The ephedrine hcl products are still available but there are several restrictions on their sale. Ephedrine hcl is basically a synthetic form of ephedrine. It typically comes in a hard tablet or soft gel cap. It is usually indicated for breathing issues like asthma but is often used for energy and weight loss. Current restrictions limit the amount that can be purchased each month and some states also have their own regulations or a ban on the sale the ephedrine.
